            PhD program in Sociology. Research on masculinities. Supervisor: Dr. Susan Braedley. I completed my dissertation and graduated in 2022.

2009 – 2011                 Simon Fraser University, Burnaby, BC
            MA program in Sociology. Research on women involved in the punk scene in Vancouver, BC. Supervisor: Dr. Dany Lacombe.

2007 – 2009                Simon Fraser University, Burnaby, BC
            Post-baccalaureate diploma in Sociology. This includes upper level courses in statistics and qualitative and quantitative research methods.

September 2009 – April 2010  Teaching assistant (Simon Fraser University) Lab assistant for SA 355 (Quantitative methods in Sociology). I filled this position over two semester with two different professors.

January 2009 – April 2009  Research assistant (Simon Fraser University). I worked with Dr. Richard Parent (Criminology) on qualitative research concerning the use of force by police across Canada and quantitative research on deaths by handguns in the US and Canada.

January 2008 – January 2009  Research assistant (Simon Fraser University) I worked with Dr. Brian Burtch (Criminology, Women’s Studies) on research focused on the correspondence of prominent prison abolitionist, Claire Culhane.

February 2019  Guest lecture for two graduate Social Work classes at Carleton University on Survey construction and analysis using SPSS.

Nov 2015 - April 2018 President, CUPE 4600 (Carleton University) This position included being the lead bargainer and spokesperson for two collective agreements in 2016-17. We bargained the highest increase for Contract Instructors in the province of Ontario in the last several years. We also doubled the amount of money raised for international solidarity work in the Philippines and Turkey.
